Emily + Matthew’s Wedding // Franklin Park Conservatory//12.15.24

Okay, I have to say — Emily and Matthew’s December 15th wedding at Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus was nothing short of magical. And when I say magical, I mean the kind of wedding where you forget it’s freezing outside because you’re surrounded by tropical plants and waterfalls. I’ve probably shot at well-over 100 wedding venues at this point, but this one was something truly special.

The ceremony went down in the Palm Room, where lush greenery and tropical vibes made it feel like we’d all teleported to some island paradise. The way Matthew looked at Emily as she walked down the aisle? Pure heart-melting material. I may or may not have had something in my eye…

After the vows, we explored the Conservatory for photos, and this place is basically a photographer’s playground. One room had a rainforest waterfall, another was straight out of the desert with towering cacti and rugged rocks, and then there was this wild space filled with blown-glass art in every color imaginable. Each spot had its own unique vibe, and Emily and Matthew made every frame look effortless — laughing, twirling, and just soaking in the moment.

Then came the reception, and wow — their choreographed first dance was next-level stunning. We’re talking straight-up “Dancing with the Stars” vibes. Add a live band with Hayden Grove, the Cleveland Crooner and the whole evening felt timeless and classy, like something out of an old Hollywood movie.

Once the sun went down, we headed outside for some night shots, and the Conservatory’s Christmas lights stole the show (well, second to Emily’s dress). Thousands of twinkling lights, stunning displays, and that warm, cozy glow — it was pure winter wonderland magic.

The grand finale? A sparkler send-off that lit up the night as Emily and Matthew made their picture-perfect exit. It was the kind of ending that just perfectly encapsulated the feeling of the entire day (and makes me remember why I absolutely love this job).

Emily and Matthew, thank you for letting me be part of your “Sweet Symphony”. You two are pure magic, and I know your journey together is going to be just as stunning as your wedding day. Cheers to a lifetime of love and adventure!
